AmmSafe is a leading edge product stewardship program developed and presented by Spectrum Distributor’s specialists to promote awareness, operational improvements and the provision of technical advice to customers.

The AmmSafe program recognizes that there is no such thing as a totally safe chemical, only safe ways of handling and using them. Spectrum Distributors regularly reviews risks associated with Ammonia handling and its use to ensure our training programs support our vision of "No injuries to anyone ever"!

Spectrum Distributor’s has invested in building a world class Ammonia repacking facility that proudly boasts improvements in both safety and reduced emissions. All users of Ammonia need to regularly train employees involved in the handling and use of the product.

Prescheduled AMMSAFE training courses are held at city and regional venues. Attendees are provided with a personalized certificate confirming attendance and handouts. The course is presented by technical personnel and covers such issues as:

• Ammonia Safety Overview
• Loading and unloading vehicle
• Handling/Storage
• Pack types
• Connecting and disconnecting
• MSDS
• Troubleshooting
• Waste removal
• ERS and Emergency Training and Documentation (e.g. water fire services)
